Dashashwamedh Ghat

Dashashwamedh Ghat is geographically located at latitude 25° 18' 23" North of the Equator and longitude 83° 0' 37" East of the Prime Meridian on the Map of World. Dashashwamedh Ghat is the main ghat (the series of steps leading down to a body of water) in Varanasi on the Ganga River. It is located close to Vishwanath Temple. Two Hindu legends are associated with it according to one, Brahma created it to welcome Shiva, and in another, Brahma sacrificed ten horses.
